Since I am a life-long geek, I love technology including good photo software. I will give some demos of my favorites here periodically. One that I've used for years (maybe it's decades now) is called 3D-Album. If you click on the play button in the middle of  the demo I created below you will get a rough idea of the concept. They have hundreds of templates, many for special events (weddings, birthdays, or just strange ones). All intended to keep your friends from falling asleep while showing photos. You can add sound (which I didn't in these), and get very elaborate. I usually put the end result on a DVD or on the local PC. Quailty is outstanding in those modes. Gets a little trickier over the web, but it should give you an idea on ways to create a more interesting display of your plethora of photos.
