Just got back from a couple of days in Carmel. As usual we visited Big Sur and Monterey and this time I spent quite a bit of time photographing wildlife at Moss Landing (appx. 12 miles north of Monterey). It is one of the best otter spots in California. Take Jetty road north of the small town and it will take you into an excellent  quiet cove with lot's of wildlife (herons, pelicans, sea lions, seals, and otters). Great spot.
