Just returned from several days of shooting around Juneau, Alaska. Beautiful area. Weather was tough, rain everyday, but the whales were great, as was the Helicopter flight I took. Unfortunately my trip to an island with brown bears (i.e. grizzleys) by seaplane got cancelled because of the weather as we were taking off. The whales were bubble-feeding, which basically means when a school of fish goes by, the birds dive for them, and 5 or 6 whales would all jump up at the same time. Really gets the adrenelin going. You only have about 2 seconds in a bouncing boat to get a shot, so it definitely is a challenge but if you ever have a chance to see it, you won't forget it. I posted some shots on the homepage.
