Finally got my camera back from the shop. The main memory board and memory card reader had to be replaced. So I ran down to Pacifica for some shots. The infamous Maverick's surf contest was going on over the hill with 40 foot waves (yep the one where the rogue wave clobbered a bunch of viewers. It's almost impossible to get a shot of the competition without being in a boat, so I stuck around Pacifica, which still has some beautiful 20 footers. Below are a couple.
